WKNC at Shakori Hills Fall 2015
Now that Shakori 2015 has come and gone, we thought we might review the incredible music and dance happenings for those who were there or are considering going to the spring Shakori out in Pittsboro, NC.
WKNC saw some amazing acts this fall. Festival standouts included Rubblebucket, Big Mean Sound Machine (making their second Shakori visit as an evening headliner), and I, Star.
Shakori also boasted its usual lineup of arts and crafts including wood sculptures, glass blowing, hula hoop and "foot bag" design, and much more. There was even a multi-hour poetry slam in the Cabaret tent.
For some, the camping experience was perfect. I have yet to attend a Shakori where it didn't rain, but the sky opened up on Saturday of the festival for a little tree climbing weather.
And as always, the peace, love, and "Happy Shakori"s were abundant.
